[blockquote]I know baking can be intimidating for us fellas but I make all of my recipes with beginners in mind and give you easy instructions to follow along[/blockquote]
I try to keep my baking skills sharp although I must admit being a guy I didn’t bake a whole lot growing up so I definitely have some catching up to do. Baking is like more of a science as you need to have just the right measurements or else it will not end well at all. I really like to experiment with my food and measuring often gets in the way so I just eye ball the measurements and so far they come pretty close to the actual amount. If your interested in my peach version of this recipe then just say beam me up scottie!
Here is my Sweet Apple Cinnamon Quick Bread recipe that is very sweet, crunchy, soft and cries out for another slice! I know baking can be intimidating for us fellas but I make all of my recipes with beginners in mind and give you easy instructions to follow along. Where you go from there is up to your creativity, as I hope you follow it. For my favorite peach version of this recipe click here!
[blockquote]Sweet Apple Cinnamon Quick Bread Batman![/blockquote]
- 2 Cups Apple(chopped) $0.58
- 1 Cup All Purpose Flour $0.03
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar $0.14
- 1/4 Cup White Sugar $0.06
- 1 tsp Baking Soda $0.04
- 2 Large Eggs(Beaten) $0.36
- 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon $0.10
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil $0.08
- 1 tsp Butter Extract(or Vanilla Extract) $0.04
- 1 tsp Ground Apple Spice $0.05
- 1/2 tsp salt $0.03
- 1/4 Cup Oats $0.04
- 2 tsbp Honey $0.14
- 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar $0.11
- 2 tbsp Milk $0.12
- 1 1/2 tsp Peanut Butter $0.06
- Crank the oven to 350° grab a loaf pan and grease that bad boy. Then cut up your apples can't forget the main ingredient!
- In a bowl mix flour, apples, cinnamon, salt and baking soda.(apples not pictured)
- In another bowl add your beaten eggs, sugars, vegetable oil, butter extract and stir together.
- Stir your wet ingredients into your flour mixture until all flour has been absorbed. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
- If you want to add a topping now is the time. Mix powdered sugar, peanut butter and milk together before adding the honey and oats. I found it easier to just use my hand to sprinkle the topping on. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until inserting a knife into the center comes out clean.
- Just to compare here is another before the topping was added which you can leave out if you'd like; it won't hurt my feelings, I promise lol!
- Also the second loaf pictured is another recipe for a peach version which i'll be posting up soon.
- You now have your own Sweet Apple Cinnamon Quick Bread!
- *Tip-I like to wrap baked goods in aluminum foil and label them.
