Okay, so i’ve made my very own Greek yogurt/yogurt at home before but I go through fluctuations and this time I used store bought Walmart’s Great Value brand plain Greek yogurt. I find the taste to be on par with most of the other Greek yogurts I have tried and at least here in the Midwest you can find it for at least $2 cheaper than say Fage(my favorite). They also have Vanilla but I like to use plain and then add in whatever I want so it gives me more variety and it’s generally a healthier choice IMO.
*Tip- If you want to save more money buy the 32oz. container of Greek yogurt and use a 1/2 cup per serving giving you 8 servings instead of only 4 as listed. You still get a hefty 11.5 grams of protein or else go full bore 23 grams of protein in a 1 cup serving!! I do this sometimes on training days when I have had a grueling work out session; let’s here it for gains lol.
- 1/2 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt $0.50
- 1 Tbsp Creamy Peanut Butter $0.12
- 1/2 Cup Frozen Fruit(optional) $0.07(not priced)
- Stir 1 Tbsp peanut butter into 1/2 cup Greek yogurt until it thickens and changes in color.
- Then add in anything else you fancy; honey, nuts, syrup etc...I chose fruit because that's just how I roll lol. I hope you guys enjoy this simple but crazy tasty peanut butter Greek yogurt as much as I do...eat it as a snack or a dessert.
