Place onions, butter, cream of chicken, water and salt and pepper into pot and cover then cook on high for 5 hours or low for 8 hours.
*Add enough water to just cover the chicken.
30 minutes before the 5 hour mark place your biscuit dough (tear apart) into the pot and let cook until dough is fully cooked.
When the home cooked chicken n dumplings are done serve it in a nice bowl and enjoy this easy low mess meal.
If eaten while still warm, outside in the fall, it will taste even better and getting some sun doesn’t hurt either.
