[blue_heading] Chorizo Homemade Spicy Pizza $4.51 entire pizza [/blue_heading]
Decided to kick it up a notch the other day, which turned out to be a great decision!
If you’ve never tried Chorizo sausage before; it’s a popular spicy kind of sausage within the Hispanic communities. I love this stuff! I’m not sure what gave me the idea of adding it into a pizza, but it seems everything has been tried in a pizza form so why not this lol.
I used my homemade pizza dough and topped it with my almost free pizza sauce, spinach, broccoli, cheese and yes even some pepperoni(I was hungry).
This is so dang good Chuck Norris should endorse it! Just smelling it would make a vegetarian drool. =D
So eat up my friends and let me know if you have any questions here on the blog, good day.
- 1 ball pizza dough $0.17
- 2 links Chorizo(8oz) $2.49
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce $0.08
- 10 slices pepperoni $0.81
- 1/2 cup broccoli $0.08
- 1 cup Spinach Leaves $0.06
- 3/4 cup shredded cheese $0.58
- 1 clove garlic(minced) $0.08
- 1/2 small chopped onion $0.16
- Pre-heat oven to 425°F. If using frozen dough place in microwave for 15 seconds increments turning twice until dough is flexible. Roll dough out to roughly a 12'' (medium) size pizza or you could cut it and make smaller sizes!
- Brown(lightly cook) your chorizo in a non-stick pan on medium to high heat then drain.
- Cut up your garlic and onion. You could saute them first if you want to go the extra(well worth it) step. Spread your sauce over the pizza dough.
- Place your toppings from most flat to bulky.
- Starting with pepperoni like I did here-->spinach-->garlic-->onions-->chorizo-->broccoli-->cheese.
- Place your pizza into your pre-heated oven and cook for 15 minutes or until edges are brown and crispy. *Add some sour cream or salsa to give it that extra fiesta flavor!
